A fire broke out with a loud bang in a firecracker shop located in Abid, Hyderabad. Within no time the fire took a terrible form, engulfing the entire building. It was fortunate that the people present in the building ran out as soon as the explosion occurred. On receiving the information, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the fire after about three hours of effort. There is no information about any casualty yet in this incident. However, relief and rescue work is still going on in the building.
The incident happened late Sunday evening. According to Abid Police, this incident took place in a firecracker shop named Paras Fire Work Crackers located in Hanuman Tekdi. This shop is amidst dense population. Before Diwali, the purchase of firecrackers has increased here. There was a lot of crowd at the shop even on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, there was an explosion and fire in the shop. It was fortunate that all the people present inside and outside the shop ran away and informed the police.
Relief and rescue work is going on
After this, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. According to fire personnel, the intensity of the fire was so high that it was difficult to even enter the shop. In such a situation, the fire brigade team climbed the nearby buildings and started throwing water under pressure. When the flame subsided a little, the fire brigade personnel standing outside the shop entered inside and brought the fire under control. According to the fire department, the fire was controlled after about 3 hours of effort with the help of three vehicles.
Many vehicles also burnt
In this incident, not only the goods worth lakhs of rupees kept inside the shop were burnt to ashes, many vehicles parked outside the shop were also burnt. According to officials, the loss in this accident is estimated to be more than Rs 10. After the accident, the police and fire brigade have started investigating the cause of the accident. It is being told that there were not adequate arrangements for fire prevention inside the shop. Because of this, the fire could not be controlled in time after it broke out.
