How far is the rescue team from the workers? 6 meter wide pipe passed through the debris, now food and water will be sent through this – Khel Ja

41 laborers are trapped in the under construction tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand for the last 9 days. Rescue operations are being carried out continuously to get the workers out of the tunnel safely. For this, help of foreign machines has been taken. Meanwhile, another 6-inch pipe has been inserted inside to provide food to the workers trapped in the tunnel. This 6 inch pipe was being laid since Sunday. On Monday, this pipe went inside safely, cutting through 57 meters of debris. Now food will be given to the workers trapped inside through this extra pipe. Now there are two 6-inch pipes to provide food to the workers trapped inside.

A tunnel was being made in the debris using an American Earth Auger machine and steel pipes were being inserted, but due to some reasons the drilling work is also going on at a slow pace. Till now only 30 meters of pipe has gone inside, while the debris has accumulated up to about 57 meters. When success was not achieved even after using different types of machines, the PMO and the state government together with the agencies involved in the rescue discussed five plans. On the request of the Indian Government, Australian tunnel expert Arnold Dix has also reached Silkyara.

This problem is coming in rescue operation

Let us tell you that Plan A of the rescue had started from the day of the accident itself. Under this plan, the debris was to be removed by machines, which started shortly after the accident, but the rescue team did not get any success in this, because as much debris was being removed, the same amount of debris came back into the tunnel. In view of this, this plan was cancelled.

Drilling work could be done only up to 30 meters

After this, the state government prepared a new plan with the help of the central government, but it was also not successful. This was also under Plan A. In this, 800 miles of steel pipe was to be drilled into the debris accumulated in the tunnel through the American Earth Auger machine brought by three Air Force aircraft. After this, the workers were to be taken out of the tunnel through this pipe, but on Friday evening, after drilling 24 meters, this machine started vibrating, after which it was stopped. Many other similar machines were called for, which are still engaged in drilling, but only 30 meters of drilling work has been done.

After not getting success in one plan, 4 more new plans were made

In view of the difficulties being faced in rescue in the tunnel accident, the PMO along with the tunnel expert made a new plan. In this, instead of doing rescue from one side, it was decided to do rescue from different places, in which all the experts agreed.
