Haryana: BJP is betting on Lals’ sons and turncoats, will they be able to form the formula for a hat-trick of power?

After much deliberation, BJP on Wednesday announced the names of its candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. BJP has announced tickets for 67 of the 90 assembly seats in the state. To score a hat-trick of power, the party has changed candidates from 40 seats. BJP has expressed confidence in leaders from other parties in the first list and has also not refrained from betting on the sons and daughters of Haryana’s political families.

BJP has given tickets to the third generation leaders of three former Chief Ministers of Haryana. Rao Birendra Singh, Chaudhary Bansi Lal and Bhajan Lal have been the Chief Ministers of Haryana. BJP has given tickets to the family of all three leaders, due to which the principle of one person one post for the party has become an exception in Haryana. Not only this, the way BJP has bet on turncoats, it has given a chance to seven leaders who joined BJP three days ago. In such a situation, the question arises that by betting on Lal’s son and turncoats, will BJP be able to score a hat-trick of power?

BJP bets on political family

BJP has not refrained from giving tickets to the sons and daughters of its leaders in the assembly elections. Aarti Rao, granddaughter of former CM Rao Birendra Singh and daughter of Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh, has been made the candidate from Ateli assembly seat. Kiran Chaudhary, who recently left Congress and joined BJP, was first sent to Rajya Sabha by the party and now her daughter Shruti Chaudhary has been made the candidate from Tosham seat. Shruti Chaudhary is the granddaughter of former Haryana CM Bansi Lal. Kiran Chaudhary is the daughter-in-law of former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal and her daughter Shruti Chaudhary has been the working president of the Haryana unit of Congress.

Former Chief Minister of Haryana

Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi who joined BJP from Congress, has been made the candidate by BJP again from Adampur assembly seat. Bhavya Bishnoi is the grandson of former CM of the state Bhajanlal. Bhavya Bishnoi is the BJP MLA from Adampur seat. Earlier, his father was an MLA from here on a Congress ticket and last year he left Congress and joined BJP. In this way, the grandfather of Aarti Rao, Shruti Chaudhary and Bhavya Bishnoi has been the Chief Minister of Haryana. He has his own political influence in the politics of the state, which BJP has bet on him to capitalize on in the elections.

came to BJP from JJP

Former minister Kartar Bhadana’s son Manmohan Bhadana has been fielded from Samalkha and former minister Satpal Sangwan’s son Sunil Sangwan has been fielded from Charkhi Dadri. Kartar Bhadana has contested elections in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He is considered a veteran leader of the Gurjar community. Due to this, BJP has taken a gamble. Sunil Sangwan has been a jailor and joined BJP on Monday. He belongs to the Jat community, his father Satpal Sangwan has been an MLA from Charkhi Dadri twice. He stood second in the last election and recently joined BJP from JJP.

Sharma family in Haryana politics

The name of Shakti Rani Sharma, wife of former minister Vinod Sharma, is also included in the list of nepotism, whom BJP has fielded as a candidate from Kalka assembly seat. Shakti Rani Sharma’s son Kartikeya Sharma is a Rajya Sabha member. The Sharma family has considerable political influence and hold in Haryana politics. That is why BJP has placed its bet on them. In this way, all the three veteran leaders have considerable influence in Haryana politics and have a strong hold in their respective areas.

Expressed trust on turncoat leaders

Instead of fielding its own leaders on 9 assembly seats of Haryana, BJP has expressed trust in the leaders who have come from other parties. This time BJP has given a chance to all those leaders who had recently left other parties and joined BJP. Devendra Babli, who joined BJP three days ago after leaving JJP, has been made the candidate. Similarly, Shakti Rani Sharma, who joined BJP from Haryana Jan Chetna Party, has been made the candidate from Kalka. Ramkumar Gautam, who left JJP and joined BJP, has been made the candidate from Safidon.

Bets were also played on these leaders

Sanjay Kablana, who joined BJP from JJP, has been made the candidate from Badli. Similarly, the party has also played a big bet on Anoop Dhanak, who left JJP and joined BJP. Pawan Kumar, who left JJP and joined BJP, has got a ticket from Kharkhoda. Former jail superintendent Sunil Sangwan, whose father joined BJP two months ago, has also got a ticket from Charkhi-Dadri. Nikhil Madan, who left Congress and joined BJP, has been made the candidate from Sonipat by the party. Former MP Shruti Chaudhary, who joined BJP from Congress, has got a ticket from Tosham seat. Similarly, Shyam Singh Rana, who left INLD, has been given a ticket by BJP from Radaur.

Plan to score a hat-trick of power

In the Haryana elections, BJP has played a big political gamble by giving tickets to the leaders who have changed parties, because all these leaders have stature in their respective areas. In its list, BJP has tried to maintain the legacy of three former Haryana Chief Ministers Bhajan Lal, former Rao Birendra Singh and Chaudhary Bansi Lal. BJP has given the desired reward to the heirs of the three former Chief Ministers who left Congress and joined BJP. With this, while BJP is looking at victory on three seats, it is also hoping to bring their supporters from across the state to its side. Apart from this, in the areas where BJP was weak, it has planned to score a hat-trick of power by giving tickets to leaders who have come from other parties. In such a situation, now it has to be seen whether this gamble of BJP is successful or not?
