Hari Har Milan 2025
Harihar Milan 2025: In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Hari-Har Milan is considered special and important. The joy of this festival is especially seen in Ujjain, which is called the city of Mahakal. It is said that on this day Baba Mahakal goes to Gopal temple to meet Lord Vishnu, the protector of the world. They are also entrusted with the responsibility of governing the world, so let us know about this special festival.
Baikunth Chaturdashi is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, the festival of Hari-Har Milan is organized in the city of Mahakal i.e. Ujjain. This year, Chaturdashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start on 3rd November at 9.35 pm. This date will end on November 4 at 06:06 pm. In such a situation, Hari-Har Milan Utsav will be celebrated tomorrow i.e. on 3rd November.
Why is this festival celebrated?
According to mythological beliefs, during Chaturmas, Lord Vishnu gets absorbed in yoga nidra in the underworld and rests. It is believed that during this time Lord Shiva governs the world. During the time of Chaturmas, no auspicious work including marriage is done in Sanatan Dharma. On the other hand, on Devuthani Ekadashi, God wakes up from four months of yoga sleep. Only after this Chaturmas ends.
After the completion of Chaturmas and Lord Vishnu waking up from Yoga Nidra, on this occasion Mahadev again hands over the responsibility of running the world to him. This is considered a special day when garlands of Tulsi and Belpatra are exchanged. This is the only day when Tulsi is offered to Mahadev and Belpatra is offered to Lord Vishnu.
These works are done
On the day of Baikunth Chaturdashi i.e. Hari Har Milan, one should wake up in the morning in Brahma Muhurta and take bath in the holy river. Doing this on this day has been considered auspicious in religious scriptures. Fast and night vigil are also observed on this day. Mantras of Lord Vishnu and Mahadev are also chanted on this day. Those who do this receive blessings from Lord Vishnu and Mahadev.
