The players of Pakistan cricket team could not do any wonders in the World Cup-2023. The team could not even reach the semi-finals. After the poor performance of the team, Babar Azam also left the captaincy. However, even after this flop show, good days have come for the players of Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started paying the dues of the players.
What did the officer say?
Let us tell you that due to the issue related to the new central contract, it was stalled for the last few months. A PCB official confirmed that after the new contract was presented, most of the players have signed it and their dues pending since June have been paid.
He said, those who have not yet signed the contract will do so in the next two days and their dues will also be paid. The old contracts of the players had expired in June. Due to differences between the players and the PCB, the list of new contracts was not announced until the end of September and then the team went to India to play the World Cup.
Then the board had announced a significant increase in the monthly retainership of the players and also confirmed to share three percent of the annual revenue received by the board from ICC (International Cricket Council).
