It has been 100 hours since the tunnel accident in Silkyara, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, but 40 laborers have not been rescued yet. The reason is somewhere in the failure of the machines brought into the tunnel. This process had started from 7 am on Sunday morning but till now the rescue team has not got any success. However, now there is hope from the American Earth Agar Machine, after which the workers will be successful in rescuing from inside the tunnel.
The American Earth Agar machine was brought via aircraft on Wednesday. Three aircraft were used to take it to Uttarkashi. After this, it took till night to take the parts of the machine to the tunnel. The machine was fitted in the tunnel at night. Now it is expected that the drilling work will start soon.
40 laborers are stuck in the all-weather tunnel connecting Yamunotri Dham since the day of Diwali. A mile steel pipe will be drilled inside the debris for approximately 50 meters. With this machine, drilling work up to 5 meters can be done in an hour. Union Minister of State General VK Singh is reaching Uttarkashi today to get complete information about the incident site. He will go to the incident site and talk to the officials there regarding rescue operations. During this time, Uttarakhand Director General of Police Ashok Kumar will also be with him.
Since the day of the accident, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has been taking moment-to-moment updates from the officials and is talking about taking out the rescue workers as soon as possible. At the same time, according to police sources, Central Government officials are also taking moment-to-moment updates of this incident from the officials present there.
If the drilling work can be done without any interruption with the American Earth Agar machine, all the workers will be evacuated from the tunnel within 12 hours. All the officials hope that the rescue work will be completed soon.

Seeing the continuous delay in rescue, the friends of the trapped workers created a ruckus on Wednesday and also made many allegations against the company. All the workers were adamant on the demand of throwing out their colleagues. They are demanding to complete the rescue as soon as possible. No responsible officer is coming forward to give correct information at the incident site. The angry workers also protested against this.
Big negligence came to light
A major case of negligence has come to light in the construction of Silkyara Tunnel of Uttarkashi. In the sensitive part of the tunnel where landslide occurred, for treatment, instead of garter rib, rib of rebar has been installed, which is the biggest mistake of the company. Due to this mistake, 40 people are fighting between life and death.
