In India, tea is requested for every small and big issue. Tea is the only way to get relief from morning fatigue and evening fatigue. Many people like tea with more milk, while some like it stronger.
Dr. Deepak Bhangle, gastroenterologist and hepatologist of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, has warned those who drink excessive tea. He says that drinking too much tea is harmful and also if you drink tea in the wrong way, it is not good for the stomach.
how to drink
According to Dr. Deepak, most of the people drink tea on an empty stomach as soon as they wake up in the morning and that too very strong. Eat some tea, namkeen or mathri. This way of drinking tea can gradually damage your liver and is also bad for the intestines. Actually, tea contains an element called tannin, which dissolves in the body. If you drink too strong tea, it can cause acidity in the stomach and heartburn.
Tea and Snacks
If you eat spicy, fried or salty snacks with tea, it weakens the stomach membrane. In such a situation, more acid will be produced in the stomach and food will be digested late. Then you will continue to have problems with stomach ache, indigestion and constipation.
How should one drink tea?
Doctor Bhangle says that it is better if you can reduce the amount of tea you drink. If you are unable to do so then never drink tea on an empty stomach and take it with a light breakfast. Choose some healthy options for breakfast. Drink lukewarm water first thing in the morning and then you can drink tea. Drink herbal or ginger tea and add less sugar in it. White sugar kills the good bacteria in the intestines.
