A case of beating of devotees and priest by Muslim community has come to light in Guha village of Ahilyabai Holkar Nagar (Ahmednagar) district of Maharashtra. There is a temple of Lord Kanifnath in the village, where the Hindu side was worshiping on 9th November. It is alleged that at this time people from the Muslim community attacked the devotees and the priest who were worshiping in the temple. Also beat him severely with kicks and punches. Now the video of this incident is going viral on social media. Taking cognizance of the viral video, the police is busy investigating the incident.
Actually, Guha village comes under Rahuri tehsil of Ahilyabai Holkar Nagar district. There is a long standing dispute between the Hindu community and the Muslim community regarding the location of the temple of Lord Kanifnath in Guha village. The matter is pending in the Collector’s court. Besides, a case regarding this land is also going on in the civil court. The Hindu side had been continuously submitting applications from Tehsil to Collector’s court demanding Pooja Aarti.
Attacked while worshiping
Meanwhile, the Tehsildar allowed the Hindu side to worship in the temple. After getting permission, the Hindu side started cleaning the temple and preparing for worship. The allegation is that last Thursday i.e. on November 9, when people from the Hindu side went to the temple to worship, the other side attacked, in which many people were injured. It is alleged that the other party kicked and punched the devotees and priest worshiping in the temple.

Now the video of this incident is also going viral on social media, in which it is visible how the priest and devotees are being beaten. Till now no action has been taken by the police in the matter. People from the Hindu side allege that the police remains a mute spectator even after watching the viral video. Not a single accused has been arrested yet. However, the police say that they are investigating. The accused will be caught soon.
