The campaign for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections has stopped on Wednesday evening and now the candidates are going door-to-door asking for votes. Congress and BJP have given their full strength to win the electoral battle. Taking lessons from the results of the last elections, BJP left no stone unturned. 39 BJP leaders including PM Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath addressed about 634 election rallies, while 40 leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi addressed 350 public meetings. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether Shivraj’s rule can survive after more BJP leaders than Congress are elected?
After the announcement of MP elections i.e. after the implementation of the code of conduct, for 37 days, all the leaders of small and big regional parties including Congress and BJP campaigned vigorously. While BJP tried its best to save Shivraj government of MP, Congress tried its best to return to power and targeted each other fiercely. While Priyanka-Rahul-Kamal Nath-Digvijay Singh worked hard for Congress, Modi-Shah-Yogi and Shivraj of BJP worked hard.
PM Modi’s 15 rallies and Shah’s 21 rallies
This time, instead of declaring any face for the post of Chief Minister, BJP had entered the election battlefield on the basis of PM Modi’s name and work. This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to defeat the anti-incumbency wave by holding 15 election public meetings in MP. PM has held public meetings in Ratlam, Sidhi, Seoni, Khandwa, Damoh, Morena, Guna, Satna, Chhatarpur, Neemuch, Badmani, Indore, Betul, Shajpur and Jhabua. Also, PM Modi was seen trying to create a political atmosphere in favor of BJP by holding a road show in Indore.

Shivraj took 160 rallies and Scindia took 88 rallies.
The biggest responsibility of maintaining BJP’s power in Madhya Pradesh rested on Shivraj Singh Chouhan, because he has been holding the throne of Chief Minister for a long time. CM Shivraj has saved power by holding 160 public meetings and covered all the districts. Not only this, he tried to win almost all the seats in the state. After the Chief Minister, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia attended the most meetings, he addressed 80 rallies in 17 days. BJP national president JP Nadda has held 14 election public meetings while state president VD Sharma has held 55 public meetings. Apart from this, 39 BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Anurag Thakur and Smriti Irani campaigned in MP.
Campaign of CM of BJP ruled state
In the MP Assembly elections, BJP also used CMs and Deputy CMs of its other states extensively in the election campaign. From UP CM Yogi Adityanath to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma and Goa CM Pramod Sawant held public meetings in different areas to create an atmosphere in favor of BJP. Congress’s bet on OBC and BJP’s bet on Hindutva.
While raising the issue of OBC, Congress in Madhya Pradesh cornered BJP and accused Shivraj government of corruption. From Rahul Gandhi to Priyanka have tried to put BJP in the anti-OBC dock, but at the same time Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government was seen as a commission government. Apart from this, the blame of toppling of Kamal Nath government was also put on BJP and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Attacked fiercely while targeting. At the same time, BJP kept trying to portray Congress as anti-Hindu by raising issues like Sanatan and Ram Mandir. From PM Modi to Amit Shah and Shivraj Singh Chauhan, everyone kept accusing Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh’s son of setting him up.
