Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the Maharashtra Assembly elections as a ‘war of votes’ to counter ‘vote jihad’. On Saturday, Fadnavis made this claim while speaking at a rally organized in Sambhajinagar in support of Mahayuti alliance candidates Sanjay Shirsat (Aurangabad West), Atul Save (Aurangabad East) and Pradeep Jaiswal (Aurangabad Central).
He said that vote jihad is now going on in Maharashtra. An example of this was seen in the Lok Sabha elections. He was ahead in Dhule by 1.90 lakh votes. Similarly, there were 1.94 lakh votes in Malegaon (Assembly constituency). Yet they lost by 4,000 votes. This defeat has happened because of vote jihad, because we are not together. Fadnavis said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the message of ‘If we divide, we will be divided’ and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said ‘If we remain united, we will be safe’.

He said that this election is to show that Sambhajinagar will remain saffron on 23rd also. Some people started betraying the saffron. Balasaheb Thackeray named this city Sambhajinagar, but in recent times some leaders are ashamed to call themselves Hindu emperors. This election is an election to show unity.
He criticized Owaisi and Uddhav Thackeray. He said, ‘We have come together to promote Mahayuti in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This name cannot be changed by one’s biological father. A woman said in the MIM meeting. Who was this Sambhaji Raje? How did this Sambhajinagar come to be? Mahayuti government named the city after Sambhaji Maharaj. Now we are awake.
Claimed development in Maharashtra
Fadnavis said that now we are going to provide water to every house. Be it garbage problem or road problem, we have solved it. The highway to prosperity has been built. DMC was started here in Sendra and all the major companies of the country have been brought to this Sambhajinagar. We are creating employment for thousands of people. More than one lakh crore will be invested in Sambhajinagar.
He said that we have created 11 lakh Lakhpati Didis, now we are going to create 1 crore Lakhpati Didis. Girl scheme has been started, it should feel as if Goddess Lakshmi has actually come home. Our government is bearing the expenses of girls’ education, we are giving free education to girls.
They said that We have paid Rs 140 crore to expand the runway to give the airport international status. Marathwada will become drought free by bringing 54 TMC of water flowing in the sea into the Godavari basin. We are going to establish a new sports university, an international level stadium is being built in Sambhajinagar. CIDCO plots are lease hold and free hold. We are giving ownership of CIDCO plots to 35 thousand families.
