The Delhi government is all set to build the clock tower on Talkaota Stadium roundabout in New Delhi. The new clock tower to come up after the demolition of the other two in Shivaji Stadium and Palika Kendra.
The foundation stone of the 27-meter-high clock tower to be constructed by NDMC was laid by CM Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, along with NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Chahal.
This clock tower, which will be built for Rs 1.80 crores, will be completed in six months. There are other clock towers in Delhi at places like Hari Nagar, Sabzi Mandi, and Kamla Market.
Addressing the program, LG VK Saxena said that the clock tower is being designed to become a new landmark. The clock tower will be constructed with cement concrete and clay bricks.

He said that its design is a wonderful blend of Hindu, Mughal and colonial architecture. He further said that “The construction of the new clock tower by NDMC will write a new chapter in the urban redevelopment of the national capital.
LG said that this magnificent clock tower is situated at an important intersection. It is the entrance to the NDMC area. It will attract a large number of visitors here.
The Lieutenant Governor also informed that another clock tower is being constructed in Sadbhavna Park on the ring road behind the Red Fort. The clock tower is being developed by the DDA and will be completed by this month.
During this, CM Rekha Gupta said that “This clock tower will be the proud base of Delhi’s progress and an eternal witness to the journey of developed India.
