The ex-husband of Lucknow-based Dr Shaheen Saeed, who was arrested in the explosives recovery case in Faridabad, said they had separated in 2012. Shaheen was a professor at Al-Falah University and is said to be associated with the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed.

According to Hayat, Shaheen wanted her entire family, including two children, to settle in Australia or Europe before their separation in 2012. Shaheen was not very religious type

According to Shaheen’s ex-husband Dr Hayat, “I have no relation with her. We got separated in 2012. We have two children and they live with me. We had an arranged marriage. I am not in touch with her after our separation.” According to Hayat, Shaheen has never been of much religious nature. She was a liberal type of woman. She wanted me to settle with her in Australia or Europe. But after this our paths parted.

Shaheen wanted to settle in Australia-Europe with children

Dr. Hayat said that there were differences between him and Shaheen regarding going to Australia. Even my children did not talk to him. She was a professor of pulmonology. She completed her degree in 2006. Let us tell you that later Shaheen joined Al-Falah University located in Faridabad and developed a relationship with Kashmiri doctor Muzammil. Muzammil is the same person who has been arrested after 2900 kg of explosives and inflammable substances were found in his two rented rooms in Faridabad.

Shaheen’s last conversation with her father was a month ago.

According to Shaheen’s father Syed Ahmed Ansari, he did not know that his daughter could be involved in such activities. Shaheen has three brothers and sisters. “My elder son Shoaib lives here with me. The other son Syed was arrested yesterday. He had studied medicine in Allahabad. My younger son Parvez Ansari, whose house was raided this morning, has left the city long ago. I last spoke to Shaheen about a month ago.

Many people used to come to Al-Falah to meet Shaheen.

A professor at Al-Falah University had previously alleged that Shaheen frequently misbehaved on campus. She was not disciplined at all. She would go away without telling anyone. Many people used to come to meet him in college. His behavior was often strange. Complaints were also made against him to the management. Shaheen, a resident of Daliganj, Lucknow, was the commander of Jamaat-ul-Mominat, the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed in India. Let us inform that more than 50 people including the Principal have been interrogated in connection with the recovery of explosives in Al-Falah University.
