Danger ‘Singham’ who defeated Lanka was troubled by these Gen-Z terms

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan is in the news these days about his film ‘Singham Again’. This ‘Endgame’ of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe is being liked a lot. The film is full of action, hence people are liking it, however, the makers’ idea of showcasing the Ramayana references and characters in this film has not been as successful. Many people believe that even if there was no reference to Ramayana in this film, this film would have worked, in fact it would have worked better.

In the film, the characters of Singham and his wife are shown to be middle aged. These characters have been played by Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgan. Both are proud parents of a 17-18 year old son. Many Genji terms have been used many times in the film, after knowing their meaning, even Singham starts scratching his head. Viren Vazirani has played the role of Singham’s on-screen son. For those who do not remember Viren’s work, Viren is the actor who played the role of Veer in Sushmita Sen’s ‘Arya’.

Gen-z term of Genji world

Viren’s character Shorya feels that his parents should give him some privacy. Through Viren’s character Shorya, an entire generation has been told in the film that Ramayana is not just a story but the history of India. While Kareena Kapoor’s character ‘Avni’ in the film wants to connect her son with her culture, Shorya also tells Avni and Singham about what goes on in his zen world these days. Shorya tells his father the meaning of many such terms which today are called Genji terms and the children in our house also use these terms but we do not understand those things exactly like Singham.

Singham starts scratching his head after listening to the talks.

Ajay Devgan’s character Singham understands the meaning of various terms like benching, ghosting, situationship from his son and then discusses them over tea with Ravi Kishan’s character. He says that my son has a girlfriend, then Ravi Kishan says as soon as he leaves that he is in a relationship. Responding to this, Ajay’s character says that no, he is in a situation. Then Ajay says what is this? So Ajay tries to explain to them but is unable to explain completely, similarly Ravi Kishan tells them the meaning of ghosting that in this suddenly someone disappears while talking. After this, the meaning of benching is explained, but even after understanding a lot, both the characters are unable to fully understand why everything is so complicated in this generation.

We can learn something from this scene

This aspect of the film shows a different kind of perspective. Many times, the things that we do not know about, no matter how special those things are to our loved ones and are explained to us, but still we find those things quite strange. The simple philosophy behind this is that just as it is difficult for our Millennial generation and the people after that to understand Genji’s words, in the same way it may be difficult for Genji to understand some of the things of our generation.
