NHAI had issued a rule two years ago, under which the line of vehicles at toll booths should not exceed 100 meters. In this way the traffic at the toll plaza is helped to pass without any hindrance. There is a yellow stripe on each toll lane to show the distance of 100 meters from the toll plaza.
Free Toll Tax: No tax to be paid

NHAI also gives you the facility of exemption in toll tax. If your house is near a toll plaza, then a monthly pass is required to pass through there. Toll tax pass rates vary depending on the location.
Talking about Gharaunda, Karnal toll plaza, a monthly pass of Rs 150 will be made if the house is within 10 km radius of the toll plaza. If the distance from home is up to 20 kilometers then the monthly pass will cost Rs 300.
