A group of two girls is active here, they steal pots from outside the cells and run away at night. Both the girls sometimes come on foot in expensive cars to commit thefts and also go astray by picking up flower pots kept for decoration outside the luxurious houses built in Sector 78.
Many CCTV footages of girls stealing flower pots have surfaced. After which the police is investigating on the basis of these videos. Sector-78 is considered a posh area of Mohali, Punjab. There are big luxurious mansions in this area. People living here are troubled by such thefts. Thefts have been happening one after the other for the last 10 days. The people of the locality complained about this to the police, after which the police talked about increasing patrolling and catching the thieves soon, but the thefts are far from being stopped.
Two girls captured in CCTV
The CCTV footage of theft that has surfaced is from house numbers 416 and 555. Here, as recorded in the CCTV installed outside the house, two girls come by car and then steal the flower pots kept above the gate. There was CCTV at the gate of these houses, hence this incident of theft was recorded, in the remaining houses it has not been known who committed the theft.
People have lost trust in the police and are guarding themselves.
Earlier it was being said that girls were stealing for fun. But things like expensive bicycles, inverters are also disappearing from the locality. The people of the locality are angry after the continuous thefts. He said that he is losing faith in the police. Now he himself will stay awake at night and guard the houses. At the same time, the police is claiming to catch the thieves as soon as possible.
