There is good news for Delhiites struggling with air pollution. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of strong winds in Delhi from November 21. People of Delhi and NCR struggling with air pollution can get relief from the strong wind. There will be improvement in air quality. There is also a possibility of light and moderate rain in the hilly areas due to western disturbance. Due to this, cold may increase in the plains.
On the other hand, the air quality in Delhi has improved somewhat. Due to this, the restrictions of the fourth phase have been relaxed in Delhi and NCR area. AQI was 242 in Gurugram, 275 in Ghaziabad, 252 in Noida, 232 in Greater Noida and 318 in Faridabad.
The Meteorological Department says that after November 21, scattered clouds can be seen in the sky in the Delhi-NCR area till November 25. Due to this, the minimum temperature of Delhi may fall.
India Meteorological Department says that the minimum temperature recorded in Delhi on Sunday was 12.2 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was recorded at 97 percent. The sky remained mainly clear in Delhi during the day.
Mercury will fall in Delhi
In a recent alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), residents of Delhi-NCR have been urged to prepare for an imminent drop in temperatures as winter sets in, with temperatures expected to drop significantly in the coming days.
According to IMD forecast, the onset of winter is expected to increase, which will lead to a significant drop in mercury levels. Residents are advised to be prepared for cold days and nights, as morning freezes are likely.
Officials have advised vulnerable persons like the elderly and small children to take necessary precautions. Additionally, travelers have been advised to remain cautious on the roads in view of the potential challenges posed by the cold weather.
There will be fog in the morning
According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather is going to get even colder in the coming week. The temperature in Delhi may drop by a few degrees from Monday, 20 November 2023. It has also been estimated that the temperature may go down to 10 degrees Celsius by the end of this week.
According to the Meteorological Department, from Monday to Wednesday the maximum temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 11 degrees Celsius. There is also a forecast of light fog in the morning in New Delhi for the next six days.
