A case of assault has come to light during a marriage ceremony organized under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana from Dalal Bagh area of Indore. Here the ex-girlfriend of a groom reached the wedding ceremony and beat up the bride. After the incident, the bride reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the accused girlfriend for assault and insult. The police have registered the complaint of the victim woman and started investigating the matter.
The marriage ceremony was going on under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana in Dalal Bagh of Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. Everything was going well, but suddenly a woman got angry and started beating the bride named Sapna Chauhan. Later it was revealed that the woman who attacked in anger was Sapna’s groom’s ex-girlfriend. It is being told that the ex-girlfriend was very unhappy with her lover’s marriage. That’s why he reached the wedding and assaulted the bride.

After the assault, the groom’s ex-girlfriend had fled from the spot. After the incident, the bride Sapna refused to marry and lodged a complaint at Malharganj police station against the woman who assaulted her. Sapna said that I was beaten up. I have been humiliated so now I am not ready to get married. At the same time, Sapna said that I have come to the police with a lot of hopes. I hope that the police will take action on my complaint as soon as possible.
Police engaged in investigation
Giving information about the case, SI Vijay Dhurve of Malharganj police station said that the woman’s complaint has been registered. The groom is also being interrogated in the matter. The police have started investigating the matter. Further action will be taken after investigation.
