A strange case has come to light from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. The brother-in-law of a woman from a village in Pilkhuwa Kotwali area of Hapur molested and sexually assaulted her. The victim complained about the matter to the SP and demanded action. However, now the woman alleges that even after registering the complaint, the police has not taken any action against her brother-in-law.
The woman told that her husband was not at home on November 10. In such a situation, she was sleeping with the children in her room at night. During this time her brother-in-law came into the room and started doing dirty things with her. In such a situation, when the woman opposed her brother-in-law, he threatened to kill her and make false allegations against her and ran away.
Abuse by woman’s partner
The woman told that on the night of 11 November, her brother-in-law came to her house with two friends and started abusing and throwing bricks and stones outside the gate. In such a situation, when his neighbors came out of the house after hearing the noise, he ran away from there with his friends. The woman said that she informed 112 police, after which the police left on the spot asking her to reach the police station. The woman alleges that despite filing a written complaint, no action has been taken against her brother-in-law. The woman has complained to SP Gyananjay Singh regarding the matter. The SP said that the accused will be caught soon.

Incidents of molestation are continuously coming to light in Hapur. A case of molestation had also come to light a day earlier on Pabla Road in Kotwali area. A woman who was going to buy goods on Pabla Road was molested by three youths riding a bike. In such a situation, when the woman raised an alarm, the accused fled from the spot leaving the bike behind. The police have taken possession of the bike and started investigating the matter.
