Bohurupi (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 19: Abir Chatterjee and Shiboprasad Mukherjee-starrer Bengali-language period chase action-thriller film ‘Bohurupi’ is soaring high at the box office.

Inspired by true events, the film – written and directed by the popular duo, Nandita Roy & Shiboprasad Mukherjee – had its much-anticipated release during Durga Puja on October 8, clashing with Dev-Rukmini Maitra-Swastika Mukherjee’s ‘Tekka’.

Besides Abir and Shiboprasad, Bohurupi – bankrolled by Windows Production – also stars popular Bengali actors like Ritabhari Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee, Rajat Ganguly and Manasi Sinha among others.

Amid much expectations, Bohurupi won hearts successfully with its gripping storyline, compelling narrative and power-packed performances. The film opened to rave reviews from fans and critics like. As per Sacnilk, the small-budget Bengali movie ended its 1st week of theatrical run with a collection of Rs 4.3 cr and earned approximately Rs 2.8 cr in week 2.

 

On third Saturday, Bohurupi once again witnessed a solid jump in numbers and raked in around Rs 0.54 cr, taking the total estimated Bengali nett collection to Rs 8.34 cr in 19 days. According to Sacnilk, the gross collection (India) of Bohurupi is estimated to be approximately Rs 9.75 cr.

Week 2: ₹ 2.8 cr

Day 15 (Tuesday): ₹ 0.28 cr

Day 16 (Wednesday): ₹ 0.25 cr

Is Bohurupi the highest-grossing Bangla film of the year? Yes, it seems to be! Made on a small budge of Rs 4 cr, ‘Bohurupi’ has already already inched closer to the Rs 10-cr mark (gross) at box office, beating big Bollywood films at the box office.

Given the current buzz, the film is likely to cross the 10-cr mark today at the box office.
