BLO uploaded your SIR form or not? How to check at home in minutes!

In the voter list purification under SIR, many voters are worried about the status of their enumeration forms. Know how to check from home on voters.eci.gov.in whether your form has been uploaded by the BLO or not, and how to correct the mistake immediately.

During the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in nine states and three union territories of the country, lakhs of voters are worried about the same question, has our form actually been submitted?

In many areas, BLOs are not reaching home on time, so many people have given the form but are confused about the status. Meanwhile, for the first time, the Election Commission has started an online facility through which every voter sitting at home can check whether his Enumeration Form has been uploaded or not.

The Election Commission says that the purpose of this process is to make the voter list transparent and eliminate the problems of the voters. Now without waiting for BLO, without any phone call or follow-up, people will be able to check their form status online in a few minutes.

Why did voters’ problems increase?

Enumeration Forms are being filled across the country to update the voter list during SIR. But in many areas:

  • BLO did not reach home
  • Status of submitted form not known
  • Submitted online form but did not receive confirmation.

In view of these problems, the Election Commission has launched a simple four-step online facility on its portal.

Now voters can check whether the form has been submitted or not.

The Election Commission has activated a new system at voters.eci.gov.in/enumeration-form-new. Through this, the status of the form uploaded by the BLO will be immediately visible on the screen.

  • Step 1: Go to the portal

Open voters.eci.gov.in and click on Fill Enumeration Form.

  • Step 2: Log in

Log in using your mobile number or EPIC number.

  • Step 3: Select state and enter EPIC

On the home page select your state and fill the EPIC number.

  • Step 4: View Status

If your Enumeration Form has been uploaded by the BLO, a message will appear on the screen that your form has been successfully submitted.

What to do if your form upload is not visible?

If no information appears on the screen or the form appears “blank”, understand this:

  • Form has not been uploaded yet
  • You may have to resubmit the form
  • Or you will have to contact the BLO of your area.

According to the Election Commission, not uploading the form of any voter will be considered negligence on the part of the BLO and action is possible against them.

Why is online status check important?

According to the Election Commission, the entire process takes only a minute or two and will:

  • Voters avoid the hassle of going to BLO again and again
  • There is less possibility of error in voter list.
  • Draft list preparation intensifies
  • Transparency and accountability increases

In this process going on under SIR, voters have now become more empowered with the help of technology. The Commission has made it clear that every voter should himself check the status of his form so that any kind of error, delay or omission can be avoided. It is now easier than ever to check form status sitting at home in two minutes.
