Aam Aadmi Party has made a written complaint to the Election Commission against Bharatiya Janata Party and its leaders. AAP has also demanded necessary legal action against them under the rules of RPA 1951, IPC 1860 and Model Code of Conduct. AAP has made many serious allegations against BJP in the letter written to the Election Commission.
Aam Aadmi Party has said in its written complaint that BJP leaders have posted many fake pictures on social media platforms like Facebook and X (Twitter) with the aim of defaming our national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Accusation of tarnishing Kejriwal’s image
In the complaint sent by AAP, it has been told that Arvind Kejriwal is not only the Chief Minister of Delhi but he is also the national convenor and a star campaigner in the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The party has written that BJP leaders have tried to tarnish the image of Arvind Kejriwar on social media.
In your complaint, you have demanded legal action against this action of these BJP leaders. The party has written that BJP has not once but many times morphed the photos of Arvind Kejriwal and many other AAP leaders and shared them on social media, which has tarnished their image during the campaign.
Evidence also attached with complaint letter
Aam Aadmi Party has written that this is illegal misuse of social media. The party has also attached some clippings shared on social media in support of its complaint and has written that this post has been shared from the official Facebook page of BJP. The party has attached the screen shot shared on Facebook as well as on X (Twitter).
In the letter, Aam Aadmi Party has written that BJP leaders have tried to defame Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal among the common people without any basis. It has been written in the letter that since all these posts have been shared on BJP’s official Facebook and X, it affects the common people also. This affects the image of Kejriwal ji.
Election Commission had issued notice to AAP
The Election Commission had issued a notice to the Aam Aadmi Party a day earlier. While issuing the show cause notice, the Commission had raised the issue of making objectionable remarks against the Prime Minister and BJP in election rallies. It was said in the notice that action would be taken if proper response was not received. Whereas Arvind Kejriwal said that this notice has been sent because he spoke against the Prime Minister in rallies.
