BJP cannot win alone in Maharashtra… Why did Devendra Fadnavis claim so?

Heavy campaigning is being done for Maharashtra Assembly elections. Political parties are making every possible effort to attract voters. At the same time, all kinds of claims are being made. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Devendra Fadnavis has made a big claim. He believes that BJP cannot hold power alone in the state.

Devendra Fadnavis said that BJP cannot win the elections alone in Maharashtra, but after the elections it will emerge as the largest party. He said this in the program of a news channel. The BJP leader says that one should be practical about the truth. On the resentment of some BJP leaders who did not get tickets and the possibility of rebellion, he said that we are sad for some ambitious candidates who could not be given a chance in this assembly elections. He jokingly said that the current situation in the state is such that many films are being made and every actor is getting the lead role.

BJP has fielded 121 candidates so far

For the Maharashtra elections, the saffron party has so far announced its candidates for 121 out of 288 seats. Fadnavis has claimed that a coalition government of BJP, Shiv Sena-UBT, NCP and Republican Party of India is going to be formed. The BJP leader was also asked about the impact of the Lok Sabha elections on the upcoming elections, to which he said that Mahayuti could win only 17 out of 48 seats in the state, but it will have no impact on the assembly elections.

He said, ‘In Dhule Lok Sabha constituency, our candidates were leading in five assembly constituencies, but due to voting in Malegaon-Central assembly constituency, we had to face defeat. However, this will not work in the assembly elections because our candidates will definitely win on those five seats.

Voting in Maharashtra on 20th November

In the last assembly elections, BJP had won 105 seats. At that time, it had contested the elections along with Shiv Sena (Undivided), in which Shiv Sena had hoisted the victory flag on 56 seats. At the same time, NCP (undivided), which was a part of UPA, had won 54 seats and Congress 44 seats. This time Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held on 20th November and votes will be counted on 23rd November.
