Bihar Election Results 2025 LIVE Counting: The Election Commission will begin counting the ballots for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 at 8 am today. The election, which took place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, witnessed an exceptionally high voter turnout. The campaign featured a direct contest between the NDA alliance, led by incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the Mahagathbandhan, with Tejashwi Yadav as their chief ministerial candidate.

Out of the total 243 assembly seats, the NDA alliance consisted of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), each contesting 101 seats. Additionally, the Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) was allotted 29 seats, while the Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) each received 6 seats.

In the Mahagathbandhan alliance, the distribution of the seats is as follows: the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) contested 143 seats, the Indian National Congress (INC) 61 seats, the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation (CPI(ML)L) 20 seats, the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) 12 seats, the Communist Party of India (CPI) 9 seats, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) 4 seats, the Indian Inclusive Party 3 seats, the Janshakti Janata Dal 1 seat, and independent candidates contested 2 seats.
