Bigg Boss Kannada: Uproar in Bigg Boss Kannada, contestant made caste based statement, police registered FIR

Tanisha Kuppanda, contestant of season 10 of the reality show Kannada Bigg Boss, seems to be in trouble due to her controversial statement. Karnataka Police has registered a case against Tanisha. It is alleged that Tanisha Kuppanda used caste based words against the Bhovi community during an episode of Kannada Bigg Boss.

Police have registered an FIR against Tanisha Kuppanda at Kumbalgodu Police Station in Bengaluru under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (SC-ST Act). All Karnataka Bhovi community president P Padma had filed a police complaint in the matter. Apart from Tanisha, Colors Kannada TV channel is also named in the FIR.

In the complaint, Padma has alleged that Tanisha Kuppanda was talking to another contestant Pratap alias Drone Pratap in the show. During this time Tanisha called him Vadda. This show was telecast on 8 November. Let us tell you that Vadda is a part of the Bhovi community, which comes under the Schedule Caste category.

Use of objectionable word earlier also

Complainant P Padma says that this is the second time when a contestant has made objectionable statements against the Bhovi community during the Bigg Boss Kannada show. He told that in the last season, actor Sihi Kahi Chandru had also used a similar word and later apologized.

Controversy happened earlier in this season also

In this season of Bigg Boss Kannada, there was a controversy when Santoshi aka Vartar Santoshi was seen wearing a locket with the claws of a titular. After this, Forest Department officials arrested Santoshi. The court had sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. However, he got bail on October 27, after which he returned to the show again.
