The central government has taken a big step to promote digital transparency and cashless payments in all the schools of the country. A letter has been issued by the Ministry of Education to the schools of all the states and union territories.
In this, NCERT, CBSE, KVS, NVS and other educational institutions have been instructed to adopt digital payment mode for school fees, especially UPI. The government says that this will not only eliminate the problem of long lines for depositing fees, but the school administration will also remain updated in terms of technology.
Importance of UPI in schools
Till now, fees in most of the schools were paid through cash. Due to this, parents have to take out time separately and come to school. Especially at the time of new admissions or exams, long queues form at the fee counter. Many times the problems increased due to problems like not receiving fee receipts or lack of cash.
With UPI based digital payment, parents can deposit the fees sitting at home, the records remain safe forever and cashless payment becomes possible.
How will change happen with UPI?
1. Promotion of Digital India: UPI system will strengthen the goal of Digital India.
2. Improvement in School Administration: Fee collection and recording will be completely digital.
3. Digital literacy of parents will increase: Gradually both children and parents will become proficient in using digital platforms.
4. Preparing for the future: Use of technology in the education sector is very important to create a developed India by 2047.
This step of the government will ensure convenient and transparent fee payment for both children and parents. Along with this, the school administration will also be able to work better and smoothly through technology.
