Big approval for world class temple museum in Ayodhya

Yogi government has taken a big step to develop Ayodhya as a cultural and spiritual center at the global level. The Cabinet has decided to further expand the scope of the world class ‘Temple Museum’ to be built in collaboration with Tata Sons.

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that Tata Sons will build and operate a state-of-the-art temple museum with its CSR funds. For this, a non-profit SPV will be formed under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, which will include representatives of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. A tripartite MoU has been signed on 3 September 2024 between the Government of India, the Government of UP and Tata Sons for allotment of land for the project.

52.102 acres of land allotted, the scope of the museum doubled

Earlier, the government had given permission to give 25 acres of Nazul land in Manjha Jamthara village of Ayodhya to Tata Sons for 90 years. But considering the grandeur of the project, Tata Sons demanded more land. Now a total of 52.102 acres of land including additional 27.102 acres of land will be transferred from the Housing and Urban Planning Department to the Tourism Department free of cost. This will greatly increase the scope of the temple museum and it will get global recognition.

Tourism, employment and revenue will get new momentum in Ayodhya

Ayodhya will get a stronger cultural identity after becoming a world class temple museum. This will create employment opportunities on a large scale, tourism will increase and government revenue will also increase. After the consecration and flag hoisting in Ram temple, the number of tourists in Ayodhya has increased manifold. Now 2 to 4 lakh people are reaching Ayodhyadham every day. This museum will become an attractive center for the young generation, foreign tourists and those interested in Indian culture and will give a new direction to the spiritual tourism of Ayodhya.
