The police has solved the case of theft that took place at the house of former MLA Savita Diwan of Riviera Town, Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Police have arrested four people, including a maid, on charges of theft from the former MLA’s house. Police have seized Rs 6 lakh 30 in cash and household items worth Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand from the thieves. Giving information, the police said that the maid had given the stolen money to her lover.
A few days ago, Rs 13 lakh 50 thousand was stolen from the house of former MLA from Riviera Town Assembly of Bhopal, Savita Diwan. This entire matter has been solved by Kamlanagar Police. Police have arrested house maid Tanu Sharma on charges of theft. Police said that the mastermind of the entire incident was the maid of the house. Maid Tanu Sharma had given the stolen money to her lover and mother. The police have arrested a total of four accused in this case.
Theft took place in the house of former MLA
The arrested accused have been identified as Tanu Sharma (22), resident of Rahul Nagar Multi, Palak Sharma (18), Sona Sharma (40) and Nikhil Patel. Police said that RD Sharma, husband of former MLA Savita Diwan, had lodged an FIR for theft in the house. RD Sharma had told that he had gone to Manali with his family. Meanwhile, someone stole Rs 13 lakh 50 thousand out of Rs 15 lakh kept in a briefcase in the house.
Theft was going on for one and a half months
RD Sharma told that the thieves had left the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh in the briefcase. The police immediately registered an FIR in the case and started investigation. During the investigation, when the police interrogated Tanu Sharma, the maid who worked in the house, she confessed to the theft. Tanu told the police that sister Palak Sharma was also involved in carrying out this theft incident. Both of us were stealing from the briefcase kept in the house for the last one and a half month.
Police seized stolen money
Tanu Sharma told the police that the stolen money was given to her by her mother and boyfriend Nikhil Patel. Police took action in this case and arrested four accused. From whom the police have seized Rs 6 lakh 30 thousand in cash and household items worth Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand purchased with the stolen money.
