Bastar Olympics 2025 begins: More than 3 lakh participants will show their skills

Bastar Olympics 2025 has started in Chhattisgarh today on Saturday. This program was started by the state’s Deputy CM Vijay Sharma. More than 3.8 lakh participants will participate in this Olympics to be organized in three phases.

‘Bastar Olympics 2025’ is being organized by the Chhattisgarh government with the aim of encouraging traditional sports, identifying the sports talent of the youth in the tribal dominated and Naxal affected areas of Bastar division and connecting them with the mainstream. Which was inaugurated today by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma in the remote Vananchal village Kachchapal of Narayanpur.

3 lakh 80 thousand participants will participate in Bastar Olympics 2025

On this occasion, a tug-of-war competition was organized between the rural women of Irakbhatti and Kachchapal, in which the women of Irakbhatti won. The Deputy Chief Minister met the players and encouraged everyone. Seeing the enthusiasm among the players, he distributed T-shirts of Bastar Olympics 2025 to everyone. This competition will be organized in three phases at block, district and division level. More than 03 lakh 80 thousand participants are participating in Bastar Olympics 2025 in Bastar division, which includes more than 47 thousand participants in Narayanpur.

International players will meet in this Olympics

Addressing the villagers in this program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma said that Bastar Olympics is not just a game, it is also a symbol of harmony, brotherhood, trust and unity of Bastar. Apart from providing a platform to the youth of Bastar to showcase their natural talent, this Olympics is also a medium to instill confidence in them and advance their sports talents. We are confident that through this Olympics the state will also get international level players who will raise the name of Bastar not only in the state but in the entire world.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mr. Narayan Markam, Vice President Mr. Pratap Singh Mandavi, ADG Mr. Vivekanand Sinha, Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG Mr. Sundarraj P, Collector Pratistha Mamgai, SP Mr. Robinson Gudiya, SDM Orchha Dr. Sumit Garg, District Vice President Orchha Mr. Mangaduram Nureti, Sarpanch Kachchapal Mrs. Rajma Nureti, District Member. A large number of villagers including public representatives were present.

Bastar Olympics from 25 October to 30 November

It is noteworthy that Bastar Olympics will be organized from 25th October to 30th November at block level, district level and division level. In which sports competitions like athletics, archery, badminton, football, karate, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, tug of war, hockey and weightlifting will be organized. Where junior category (14 to 17 years) and senior category (above 17 years) along with disabled players and surrendered Naxalites will also directly participate in divisional level competitions.
