Mumbai, Maharashtra: Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s latest film, ‘Udta Teer’, has secured a respectable opening at the box office, collecting ₹4.

10 crore on its first day. Despite initial morning and noon shows suggesting a lower opening, evening and night screenings saw a significant surge in audience numbers.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film’s performance in urban centers was particularly strong, contributing to its better-than-expected earnings. The coming weekend will be crucial for the film to maintain its momentum and establish a solid box office run.

‘Udta Teer’ is a spy-comedy directed by Akash A Kaushik, marking his debut as a director. The film features a diverse cast including Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, and Raghubir Yadav. Ayushmann Khurrana portrays a Pakistani spy who, after losing his memory, mistakenly supports India, leading to a unique ‘pro-India patriotic comedy’ as described by the actor. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, a collaboration that has previously delivered successful projects.
