Deepotsav has registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records by lighting a record 25 lakh 12 thousand 585 lamps. Thousands of people gathered on both sides of Saryu are capturing this unique moment in their mobile cameras. Devotees from far and wide are enjoying this festival of lights. Before the start of the festival of lights, 1100 archakas performed the aarti of Saryu. CM Yogi was also present during this period.
Let us tell you that this is the first time in Ayodhya after 500 years that the people of Ayodhya will celebrate Diwali in the presence of Ramlala. This time, for the first time after Lord Ram’s ascension, 55 ghats including Ram’s Paidi are illuminated with 25 lakh lamps. Name recorded in Guinness Book of World Records
Two records have been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records in Ayodhya today. Firstly, 1 thousand 121 people performed Aarti together on the banks of Saryu. Another new record was set by lighting 25 lakh 12 thousand 585 lamps. The witnesses of this moment were Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself along with Governor Anandiben Patel, Union Tourism-Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and both the Deputy CMs and senior ministers of the Yogi government.
25 lakh lamps were lit in just half an hour
As soon as the sun set in Ayodhya today, the dazzling colorful lights of electric lights on Ram Ki Pauri started attracting everyone. The entire city of Ayodhya was resonating with devotional music. A day before, 30 thousand volunteers had completed the work of laying 25 lakh lamps at many places including Ram Ki Paidi, Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat and Bhajan Sandhya Santhal. This evening a new record was made by lighting 25 lakh lamps within half an hour.
Saint society was happy to see the grand festival of lights
In order to register their name in the Guinness Book of World Records in the 8th Deepotsav, a 30-member team under the leadership of consultant Nischal Barot had counted the lamps till late night last Tuesday. Today, as soon as all these lamps were lit at 55 ghats including Ram Ki Paidi, the team announced to create a new record. Regarding the festival of lights, the saints say that the central and state governments have revived the religious and cultural heritage of Ayodhya. Due to this the entire saint community is happy.
Ayodhya Deepotsav is making new records every year
After the formation of Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2017, the program of Deepotsav was started for the tourism development of Ayodhya. Now it is breaking its own records every year. In last year’s Deepotsav, a world record was created by lighting 22 lakh 23 thousand lamps. This time, 30 thousand students from other colleges including Avadh Vishwavidyalaya had worked hard for the Deepotsav, the result of which they found meaningful.
