Arjun Tendulkar got beaten by his friends, gave away runs in 4 overs before IPL mega auction

Only a few hours are left for the mega auction of IPL 2025 to start. For the first time, an auction of players for the world’s biggest T20 league is being organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy has started in India just a day before the auction, which can be like an audition for the auction for many players. However, Arjun, son of India’s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar, has failed in this audition. In his very first match, Arjun was beaten severely and this was done by his own old friends.

While all the franchises are busy preparing for the mega auction to be held in Jeddah on 24th and 25th November, many players in different parts of the world are trying to grab their attention with their performances. With the Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting just before this, this can also prove to be important for many players. While players like Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal performed amazingly in the first match, this match proved to be very bad for Arjun.

flopped badly before the auction

Left arm fast bowler Arjun, who plays for Goa, had to face a severe beating against his own old team Mumbai. Batting first in this match, Mumbai scored a big score of 250 runs by losing only 4 wickets in 20 overs. Now if such a big score has been made then it is clear that the bowlers must have been beaten badly and the same happened in which Arjun Tendulkar came on target. Mumbai batsmen scored a total of 48 runs in Arjun’s 4 overs, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes, while they did not get any wicket.

I got beaten by my friends

Arjun’s friend Prithvi Shaw scored only 9 runs in his 8 balls but the rest of his old friends showed no mercy. Shreyas scored 11 runs in 6 balls for Arjun while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 6 runs in 3 balls. Whereas bowling-all-rounder Shams Mulani proved to be the most ruthless and he scored 18 runs in 7 balls of Arjun. Only Heramb Parab was beaten more than Arjun who spent 59 runs in 4 overs. Now the question is whether it will have any impact in the auction? This does not seem to be happening and there is every possibility that once again Mumbai Indians can buy the star batsman’s son at the base price, as it had done earlier also.
