As legendary footballer David Beckham visited India to attend the India-New Zealand semifinals in Mumbai, the footballer met up with popular Bollywood celebrities at a party especially thrown in his honour. Among the many celebrities who met the footballer and clicked photos with him was Arjun Kapoor who was present at the party with his partner Malaika Arora. Arjun Kapoor’s photograph with David Beckham caught the netizens’ attention, for a wholly different set of reasons altogether.
A basic google search states that Arjun Kapoor’s height is 1.78 m, approximately 5 ft 11 inch, meanwhile David Beckham is supposed to be 6 feet tall. But in the said picture from yesternight’s bash, Arjun Kapoor looked evidently taller, which led to netizens commenting that Arjun Kapoor photoshopped the picture to look taller than he actually is. Arjun Kapoor’s trolling escalated when a meme page shared the same picture, sarcastically asking Kapoor for tips to grow one’s height.
However, Arjun Kapoor, staying true to his witty self, posted in the comments section of the meme page, “I’m actually 183 cm that’s slightly over 6 feet so let’s not believe everything we read.” Many fans were naturally impressed by Kapoor’s no-nonsense clarification post. One user commented, “Love how subtly you give it back.” Another Instagram user named Amit Singh posted, “Arre Aapne to Tathya Thook Diye (You are spitting facts now!)”

The party was attended by many popular celebrities like Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput, Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar, Karisma Kapoor among others. The party was thrown by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja for Beckham. Earlier, David Beckham was seen mingling at Wankhede stadium with Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Ranbir Kapoor among others.
