Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MPs demonstrated in the Parliament House complex on Friday regarding the continuous criminal incidents and deteriorating law and order in Delhi. MPs from India Alliance constituent TMC were also present in the demonstration led by AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh. AAP MPs demanded the Union Home Minister to come to the House and answer regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that today the country’s capital has become the capital of crimes. The government should answer on this. I have given a notice in the House demanding an answer from the Home Minister on the law and order of Delhi.
Situation like Mumbai of 90s
During the protest, AAP MPs raised slogans against the Central Government regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi and increasing gang war. MP Sanjay Singh alleged that today the conditions in Delhi are like those in Mumbai during the mafia rule in the 90s.
sought answers on law and order
He said that the capital of the country has become the capital of crimes. Therefore, I have given notice of 267 on Friday that the Home Minister should come to the House and answer on the law and order of Delhi. The President, Prime Minister and Home Minister live here. Under the nose of the Home Ministry, murders and rapes take place within 10 kilometers of their homes. Why is this happening?
Women are not safe in Delhi
Sanjay Singh said that the responsibility of educating daughters was of the Aam Aadmi Party government and Arvind Kejriwal. We did the work of educating the daughters whereas it is the responsibility of the central government to save the daughters. But the government does not want to answer on this. What will happen to the security of Delhi? If the country’s capital is not safe then how will the country be safe?
He said that today TMC MPs also joined us in the protest. We will expand this movement further. Will also involve other political parties in this and will demand discussion on it inside the House.
Common people, businessmen all unsafe
Aam Aadmi Party alleges that almost every day some major criminal incidents are taking place in Delhi. Especially businessmen and women are most unsafe inside Delhi. Businessmen are getting calls demanding extortion every day. They are given threats if they do not pay the extortion money. Firing is being done on their business establishments.
