Rashmika Mandanna is taking action cinema to an entirely different level with Mysaa.
The actress has pulled off what the makers describe as India’s first female-led underwater combat sequence, delivering one of the film’s most demanding and visually ambitious episodes.
The spectacular sequence begins moments after Rashmika jumps from an 80-foot waterfall, a scene that was earlier filmed at Kerala’s picturesque Athirappilly Falls.
Rather than ending with the leap, the action intensifies beneath the water, where she engages in an intense, meticulously choreographed fight lasting over three minutes.
Directed by Rawindra Pulle, the underwater sequence required four days of preparation and filming, including an entire day dedicated solely to rehearsals.
Every movement had to be executed with absolute precision, making it one of the toughest portions of the shoot.
The sequence was filmed at a specialized underwater studio in Shamshabad, among the very few facilities of its kind in South India.
Despite having no prior underwater training, Rashmika embraced the challenge with remarkable commitment.
She spent nearly 8 to 10 hours underwater every day after completing intensive rehearsals.
The makers believe this high-risk action episode will stand out as one of Mysaa’s biggest highlights.
