You can now watch Rajinikanth’s film with Coolie Ott Release from 11 September 2025 on Amazon Prime. Despite the big stars ‘Coolie’ with a 350-400 crore budget, the fans were able to earn less than expected in India, now the fans should enjoy sitting at home.
Rajinikanth Coolie on Ott: Rajinikanth’s Tamil action drama ‘Coolie’ has come on the OTT platform 29 days after its release on the big screen. The film was released in theaters on August 14 and proved to be a flop despite a great opening. Whereas in this film, apart from Tamil, Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, Kannada star Upendra, Malayalam star Saubin Shahir played important roles. Even Hindi cinema superstar Aamir Khan did a cameo. But all these could not save the film from flop at the box office.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja, the streaming of this film has started on Amazon Prime Video from September 11. The film also features actors like Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Saubin Shahir, Upendra and Aamir Khan, besides Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj, Rachita Ram, Reba Monica John, Monisha Blassi, Kanna Ravi, Ravi Raghavendra and Kali Venkat. Pooja Hegde has given a special appearance in its dance number ‘Monica’. Mahesh Manjrekar has also given a special appearance in the role of Aamir Khan’s father.

Budget of Rajinikanth’s film ‘Coolie’
Kalanidhi Maran has built ‘Coolie’ under the banner of Sun Pictures. The film was released in Tamil as well as in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. According to reports, the budget of the film ranges from about Rs 350 crore to Rs 400 crore. It is even claimed that out of this, Rs 150 crore is the fee of Rajinikanth alone.
‘Coolie’ earnings at box office
Talking about the box office collection, the film earned 65 crores in India on the first day. But after this there was a decline in the collection and it increased to Rs 159.25 crore in the weekend. In the first week, the film had grossed Rs 229.65 crore. But next week it was reduced to a collection of Rs 41.85 crore. The film somehow survived at the box office for 25 days and earned NET 284.47 crores in India, which is extremely less than the budget. However, the film’s gross collection at the worldwide box office increased to Rs 514.65 crore. Even after earning so much, this film is being counted in flop films.
