Saaish Arora emerged victorious in the Under-14 Boys Singles category at the Haryana Open PWR 400, defeating Atharv Mittal with a score of 15-4 in the final held on July 18 at Horizon x CourtPlay in Gurugram.
Arora showcased his exceptional skills throughout the tournament, advancing to the final without losing a single game. He began with an impressive 11-0 win against Om Dandriyal in the quarterfinals, followed by a 15-5 victory over Rishab Chirimunjh in the semifinals.
On the other hand, Mittal reached the final after a closely contested quarterfinal match, edging out Advik Mittal 11-10, and then defeating Aarsh Malik 15-4 in the semifinals. In the final match, Arora maintained his dominant performance, mirroring the 15-4 scoreline from Mittal’s semifinal match to secure the championship.
The Under-14 Boys Singles event was part of the Junior lineup featured on Day 2 of the tournament, which also included Under-18 Singles, Men’s Pro, Intermediate, and Mixed Open categories.
