Nepal Violence: The movement against corruption and social media ban in Nepal continues for the third day. The protest has taken violent form and clashes and arson in many areas including the capital Kathmandu.

To prevent violence, the Nepali army has taken control of the entire country from 10 pm on Tuesday night. The army has warned that some miscreants are damaging common people and government property. It is necessary to stop incidents like looting and arson immediately. Under the pressure of the protesters, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned and left Kathmandu. Earlier, the agitators set fire to their home, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Supreme Court.
Performance became violent on Tuesday
So far 22 people have been killed and more than 400 people have been injured in clashes and arson in Kathmandu and surrounding areas. There was no sudden movement against corruption and political instability in Nepal. The public and Genz, that is, the new generation, was angry for a long time. The ban on social media further increased his anger. Demonstrations became more violent on Tuesday. Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was attacked and the wife of former PM Jhalnath Khanal was burnt alive on the road.
Thousands of protesters still on the streets
Seeing the situation uncontrollable, the Nepal army took control of government locations like Kathmandu airport and Sinharadar from Tuesday night. Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel appealed to the protesters to take the path of peace and conversation. He expressed condolences to the families of the dead and wished the injured to recover quickly. However, anger on the roads has not diminished. Thousands of protesters are still on the streets, attacks on government offices are going on. Army helicopters brought some ministers to safe bases. President Ram Chandra Paudel has also appealed to maintain peace.

This unrest is also affecting India. Security has been increased in border districts in Uttarakhand. 39 Karnataka people are trapped at Kathmandu Airport, steps are being taken for their safe return. Hundreds of flights have been canceled due to the situation in Nepal. The world is also eyeing Nepal. Russia expressed concern and advised its citizens to avoid visiting Nepal. The army has warned that some groups are looting and arson under the guise of demonstrations. He reiterated everyone’s appeal to maintain peace and stop violence. Air India and IndiGo on Tuesday canceled all flights between Delhi and Kathmandu due to the ongoing mass movements and deteriorating security situation in Nepal.
