Bigg Boss 19 contestant Amaal Mallik opened up about accusations he faces for being a young music composer with many calling him out for his body of work not being original.
Amaal, coming for a lineage of musicians, is the son of Daboo Malik, nephew of Anu Malik and elder brother of Armaan Malik. On September 9’s episode of the Salman Khan-hosted reality TV show, Amaal was seen having a conversation with Tanya Mittal, where the 35-year-old hinted at how his uncle Anu Malik doubts his calibre too.
Tanya asks Amaal about being a young composer
In the episode, Tanya is seen asking Amaal whether his father makes music for him, to which Amaal refuses. Tanya coaxes, “Jhooth bol rahe ho tum, khud se kaise aa sakta hai itna (You’re lying. How can someone learn on their own)?”, Amaal replies to her, “Kya pata. Diya hoga upar wale ne (I don’t know. Maybe I’m God-gifted).” Tanya then says, “Itna young aadmi kaise bana sakta hai? Composers dekhe hai kaise budhe hote hai. Papa banake dete honge (How can a composer be this young? Have you seen composers? They are old men. I’m sure your father does this for you).”
Amaal hints at Anu Malik
Amaal then retaliates and says, “Yeh bahut logon ko doubt hai. Aisa bahut log bolte hai. Yeh mere khud ke uncle ne bola hai (Many people have doubts and say the same thing. Infact my own uncle has said this).” Hinting at Anu Malik since his voice gets muted by the showrunners, Amaal adds, “Unke assistant ne mujhe bataya ki tumhare uncle sochte hain Amaal gana nahi banata hai, uske Papa banake dete hai usko. Aakhri dum tak yehi sach hai ki maine hi banaya hai ek ek gana apna, khoon-paseena-jaan lagake (My uncle’s assistant told me that he said Amaal dooesn’t compose, but his father does. I’ll say this till my last breath that each and every song has been made by me with my blood, seat and my entire soul).”
Anu Malik had recently opened up about the alleged trouble within his extended family, that has been in the news for sometime now. There were reports of familial trouble and crumbling unity within the Maliks.
