Ridhima Dilawari extended her overnight lead from one to two shots after two rounds at the tenth leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour, held at the Zion Hills Golf County in Kolar, Karnataka.
Despite a late double bogey, the three-time winner this season recorded five birdies alongside two bogeys and a double bogey on the par-17th hole. Her birdie on the closing hole eased the setback, as she scored 1-under 71 following an opening round of 68.
At 5-under 139, Ridhima leads by two shots over Amandeep Drall and Vidhatri Urs, both scoring rounds of 69-72. Vani Kapoor, the winner of the previous week, dropped four bogeys, including back-to-back on the eighth and ninth holes, resulting in a 1-over 73 and a sole fourth-place position.
Young Saanvi Somu, who has experience playing on the Ladies Access Tour in Europe, started strongly with four birdies in the first six holes. However, she lost momentum with no further birdies and suffered two double bogeys on the par-3 seventh and par-4 twelfth holes. She parred the remainder of the course and stands at even par 144 after rounds of 71-73.
Ridhima has maintained good form throughout the season despite falling short of victory in her last two starts. She began with birdies on the second and fourth holes but incurred a bogey on the eighth, turning in 1-under. A bogey on the 12th brought her to even par before consecutive birdies on the 14th and 15th restored her advantage. A double bogey on the par-4 17th was softened by a birdie on the 18th hole.
Other young contenders include Kashika Misra (72-73), Mannat Brar (73-74), and Riya Jadon (73-75), positioned sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively. A tie for ninth place at 5-over 149 features Ananya Datar (72-77), Jasmine Shekar (74-75), Anvvi Dahiya (76-73), Karishma Govind (76-73), and Anvitha Narender (78-71).
Local star Ananti Vivek, who trains at Zion Hills, leads the amateurs alongside Heena Kang (76-74) and Shreshta Shukla (78-72), all at 6-over 150. The cut was set at 155, with 34 players advancing to the final round. Notable names missing the cut included Seher Atwal, Shweta Mansingh, and Durga Nittur.
