The state government said it has undertaken a comprehensive review of citizen-facing services to improve efficiency and reduce the time required for accessing government schemes and approvals. As part of the ongoing reforms, several services are being integrated into digital platforms including MahaDBT 2.0, MAITRI and Aaple Sarkar 2.0, which are intended to provide citizens with a more streamlined online interface for government services.
The Chief Minister also directed the Information Technology Department to establish a robust technical framework to ensure uninterrupted digital service delivery and complete implementation within the prescribed timelines.
During the meeting, Fadnavis inaugurated two projects developed by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence – Data Analytics as a Service and Mini Setu Kendra. According to the government, the data analytics platform is expected to improve monitoring of public services, strengthen accountability, identify irregularities and help optimise the use of public funds through data-driven governance.
Officials present at the meeting also reviewed progress made under the third phase of GPR and discussed coordination among departments to accelerate implementation.
The Governance Process Re-engineering initiative forms part of Maharashtra’s broader effort to modernise administrative systems and expand digital access to government services. The government said further work will continue over the coming months as departments implement the planned reforms and integrate more citizen services into digital platforms.
