Accident in Adhikavari on 26 August, 34 devotees lost their lives

After this, the yatra was postponed. The accident occurred near Inder Prastha Bhojalaya, which is a 12 -km long climb from Katra to Mata’s building.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha constituted a high level inquiry committee

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has formed a high level committee to investigate this tragedy. Jammu Divisional Commissioner and Inspector General of Police have also been included in this committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary of Water Power Department, Shain Kabra. As per the order, the committee has to submit its report within two weeks.
