New Delhi: At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in the national capital, Bharat Mandapam, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of the state of Madhya Pradesh has given an ambitious roadmap of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in various important sectors. Speaking to the heads of industries, policymakers, and startup founders, Yadav noted that the state is setting up to be a large AI-led growth centre in central India.
According to him, Madhya Pradesh is working on deploying AI to speed up economic growth and enhance government services, as well as create job opportunities. The Chief Minister emphasised that the state government was matching its AI drive with the overall vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who envisioned developing a technology-based economy.
AI in Agriculture: Smarter Farming for Higher Yields
Finding that Madhya Pradesh has a robust agricultural background, Yadav added that AI will be beneficial in enhancing agricultural output. The state is a major producer of wheat, paddy and soybean, and AI tools will assist farmers to make quick and more precise choices.
He added that the government was going to introduce AI systems to identify diseases in crops early enough to minimise losses and to make interventions in time. Analytical information will also be used to enhance irrigation and optimal use of resources.
AI in Healthcare and IT Parks: Expanding Digital Services
The Chief Minister said that AI will be incorporated in healthcare services to enhance diagnosis and treatment. Intelligent systems will facilitate prevention of diseases and give precise treatment advice. It will also extend its focus into remote and rural regions of medical services.
Yadav also added that new and current IT parks in the major and tier-2 cities will be intensified to lure technology firms. The relocation would generate employment opportunities for young professionals and promote investments based on innovations.
Data Centres and Investment Push
Madhya Pradesh is also considering becoming the centre of AI-powered data centres. Yadav claimed that the state has a lot of land and water resources, which makes it a good target for large-scale digital infrastructure projects.
In its policy of land banking, the state has invited several companies to consider investments. It will concentrate on the development of energy-efficient and hi-tech data centres to facilitate the developing Indian AI ecosystem.
Engagement with Global Tech Leaders
Yadav also conducted meetings with the leaders of international technology companies like NVIDIA and Google, as well as upcoming AI companies like Sarvam AI, Jenspark AI, K-Gen AI, Submer Technologies, and Inviscid AI, on the fringes of the summit.
Its topics of discussion included public-private partnerships, GPU subsidies to startups, sovereign AI development, and energy-efficient data centre solutions. Another best practice was the Chief Minister holding meetings with founders of startups in their tier-2 cities and urging them to scale their AI innovations.
Strategic MoUs to Strengthen AI Ecosystem
Three major memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed under the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Jenspark AI will assist AI infrastructure and governance solutions. Inviscid AI is to implement a digital twin technology in smart infrastructures. Sarvam AI will assist in developing sovereign AI infrastructure and AI-enabled services. Submer Technologies was given a letter of intent on how to create energy-efficient, AI-powered data centres in the state.
Tourism Boost Through AI and Immersive Tech
In his visit to the Google Pavilion, Yadav discussed the possibility of using AI, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) to market tourism in Madhya Pradesh. He explained that the immersive technologies can be used to make the cultural heritage and historical sites of the state available to the international community.
Startups and educational institutions demonstrated AI-based solutions in the field of gaming, data management, and digital services at the pavilion of Madhya Pradesh. The exhibit signified the increased attention paid by the state to the creation of a powerful and AI-orientated ecosystem.
