“RHONJ” Star Milania Giudice Allegedly Hit Victim in Head with Her Fist Before Being Arrested on Suspicion of Assault: Prosecutors

Real Housewives of New Jersey star  allegedly struck the victim in the domestic violence incident that led to her  , according to prosecutors.

On Tuesday, July 14,  s 20-year-old daughter virtually appeared in court for a hearing pertaining to her May 14 arrest alongside her attorney Alan Kraminsky. Milania entered a not guilty plea in her assault case.

 published a clip of the hearing on Tuesday, July 14. In the video, a judge said that prosectors alleged that Milania “did knowingly cause bodily injury to another, specifically by striking the victim, LR, in the head with her fist, causing redness to the middle of the victim’s forehead, during a domestic dispute in violation of… a disorderly person’s offense.”  was the first to report.

PEOPLE has reached out to Giudice’s attorney for comment.

Milania was arrested on May 14 in connection with a domestic violence incident, a law enforcement source previously told PEOPLE. She was charged with simple assault and purposely/knowingly causing bodily injury.

Over a month later, the reality star spoke of her arrest for the first time in a  video posted on June 29.

“I have one thing to say — I’m going to save the rest for tomorrow,” Milania said in the video, which was taken in a bedroom with text overlay that said, “and goodnight.” She addressed a mugshot photo that is circulating online of her, and said it’s “AI.”

“I ate down in my mugshot. I looked fire,” she said. “I mean, nothing to be proud of, but… I made sure of that.”

“I mean, it is what it is, s— happens in life,” Milania said of last month’s arrest. “It is what it is, you gotta learn from it, just become a better person and talk about it.”

She also said that she “was not in a good area in my life” at the time.

“That happens. I’ve been through a lot in life, and some other stuff happened to me — just because you guys think you know everything that happens in my life, you just really don’t,” she continued.
