“Feels Disrespectful” – Ravens QB Lamar Jackson’s Shocking 67-Spot Fall in NFL Top 100 Sparks Outrage

Lamar Jackson‘s 67-spot drop on the latest NFL Top 100 Players list has fans outraged. Most view this as disrespectful toward the Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback.

Jackson ranked second in consecutive years (2024 and 2025). Last season did not pan out the way he or the Ravens fans had hoped. Injuries and inconsistent performances accumulated into a terrible finish to the year. The Ravens missed the playoffs.

And that’s the chief reason Jackson ended up as the 69th best player on the list, sliding 67 spots compared to the previous two years.

It was a trying season for the two-time AP NFL Most Valuable Player. He missed three games early due to a hamstring injury, and another contest late with a back contusion, and in between didn’t move much like himself. Jackson nonetheless finished the year fourth in passer rating (103.8), higher than seven Pro Bowl or Pro Bowl alternate quarterbacks.

As Kownack pointed out, Jackson missed three games near the beginning of the season due to a hamstring injury. Despite his return,  using his feet, his biggest asset.

Not only that, he’s passing game was questionable at best. He completed 63.6% of his passes (third worst of his career), for 2549 yards, threw 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also added 349 yards and two TDs (Jackson’s worst tally since entering the league).

The underwhelming aspects aside, Jackson still had the highest passer rating (147.6), yards per attempt (13.2), and completion percentage of expected (+11.9%) on play-action passes among qualified quarterbacks last season.

On Twitter, fans argued that the ranking doesn’t do justice to the   Jackson is or can be.

In 2023, Jackson signed a five-year contract worth $260 million. However, with the quarterback market resetting several times since then, experts believe the Ravens could move in quickly to give Jackson a modified contract before the market blows up again.

However, with constant disappointments he has had over the years in Baltimore, some see Jackson declining to sign the new deal and just playing out the years of his original contract.

Veteran NFL insider Courtney Cronin on First Take revealed that if Jackson doesn’t sign a new deal, then the Ravens would have no choice but to part ways with him.

Him potentially being out of Baltimore at some point could be on his own if the offense doesn’t work between himself and Declan Doyle… If it works out, that’s great, but if it doesn’t, we know that the Baltimore Ravens are not a team that needs to be a bad team to draft well at QB.
