After Lenin’s success, Nagarjuna shifts focus to his 100th film

Nagarjuna Akkineni is now set to turn his full attention to his landmark 100th film after ensuring a strong launch for his son Akhil Akkineni’s latest release, Lenin.

The veteran actor had announced his 100th project, tentatively considered as King100, last year. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik, the film has been progressing steadily, though without a confirmed release schedule.

However, Nagarjuna temporarily put the project on hold to concentrate on “Lenin.” He was actively involved in the film’s final edit, post-production, and promotional campaign, determined to help Akhil score a much-needed success.

The strategy appears to have paid off, with “Lenin” opening to encouraging box-office collections and generating a largely positive response during its first few days in theatres.

With that objective achieved, Nagarjuna is expected to resume work on his milestone project. The film stars Sushmita Bhat as the female lead, while Tabu plays a key role. “Lottery King” is said to be the title currently under consideration.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has also put plans for the second sequel to “Soggade Chinni Nayana” on the back burner as he focuses on completing and releasing his 100th film.
