Nirf ranking india 2025: The wait for NIRF rankings 2025 is about to end. The Ministry of Education has announced that this year’s list will be released on 4 September 2025. This list will include the names of many categories of best institutions including top universities, colleges, engineering, medical, management, law of India. This time a rank list will be released in a total of 17 categories. Apart from last year’s 16 categories, a new category has been added this year. After release, these list can be checked online on the official website nirfindia.org.
What does Nirf rankings mean?
Do you know what Nirf rankings mean? Actually, its full name is National Institutional Ranking Framework. It is a system of the Ministry of Education, through which universities and colleges across the country are ranked on the basis of their quality and performance.
When was Nirf ranking started?
The NIRF rankings started in the year 2016. At that time around 3,500 institutions participated in it. Since then this list is released every year and today it is not less than a guideline for students and their parents for higher education.
How is Nirf rankings decided?
The rank of any institution is fixed on five major standards, including-
- Teaching, Learning and Resource- 30 percent weightage
- Research and professional practice- 30 percent weightage
- Graduation Outkam- 20 percent weightage
- Outreach and Inclusivity- 10 percent weightage
- Perception- 10 percent weightage
What is the benefit of releasing Nirf ranking?
By issuing this rankings, it is easy for students to decide in which institute it will be right to take admission. This list reveals the quality of the quality of studies, research, faculty and students’ results.
