In a recent chat with Variety India, Patani shared her excitement about collaborating with Spacey. She commended his directing style, saying, “He is incredible. As an actor, he truly understands his cast. He ranks among the best actors globally.” Patani noted Spacey’s distinctive approach of encouraging actors to draw from their own life experiences, creating a collaborative atmosphere that allows for deep character exploration. “Every morning, he would guide us through the scenes. I found that experience truly unique,” she remarked, emphasizing that this level of involvement was unprecedented in her career.
Patani also discussed the hurdles of entering Hollywood, highlighting the significance of representation and accessibility within the industry. She stated, “Much relies on accessibility. The West places a strong emphasis on audition formats. You must audition for roles.” The actress recognized that being represented by the right agency and navigating visa logistics are critical in securing opportunities in the competitive Hollywood landscape.
Furthermore, Patani emphasized the importance of being physically present in the U.S. to enhance her chances of landing roles. “You can audition from here, but it’s more effective to be there, stay for a while, and work on it,” she explained, shedding light on the complexities of maneuvering through a foreign film industry.
