Ahead of the release of Lenin, Akhil Akkineni shot a special interview with Getup Srinu to promote the film. During the conversation, Getup Srinu gave Akhil an interesting task by posing as a vegetable seller and asking him to bargain.
Akhil replied, “I don’t know how to bargain. Hence, my wife doesn’t allow me to buy anything (laughs). In financial matters, I don’t have a say. I am a soft person, and hence I don’t know bargaining. She keeps me aside and deals with such matters.”
Akhil married his longtime girlfriend, Zainab Ravdjee, in June 2025 in the presence of his family and close friends. Zainab, the daughter of Zulfi Ravdjee, is an accomplished artist who has spent her life in India, Dubai, and London.
