New Delhi: Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas will battle out against each other in the 2025 Pro Kabaddi League’s season opener at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag on Friday, August 29 . In the first match of the night, star raider Pawan Sehrawat will be playing against his former team, Telugu Titans.
Titans released their skipper Sehrawat ahead of the PKL 12 auction due to injury concerns. The Thalaivas other acquired Sehrawat and handed him the captaincy ahead of the new season.

In the second match of the night, Bengaluru Bulls will take on Puneri Paltan. Akash Shinde’s involvement in the game can spice things up in the match as he will be playing against his friend and former teammate Aslam Inamdar, who is the skipper of the Paltan.
Bulls were the worst team in the last edition of PKL, as they finished in the last spot of the points table with just two wins in 22 matches. But ahead of the season 12, they signed BC Ramesh as their new head coach. The franchise also strengthened its defence department ahead of the new season. The Paltan relies on their core experienced group, as they retained their majority of players.
