The clip spread quickly online and reactions poured in from all directions. Amid the growing chatter, Gauahar has now broken her silence, sharing her reaction on Instagram without directly naming the moment that sparked it all.
What Joke Did Kushal Tandon Crack?
The whole thing unfolded in the gym, where Kushal Tandon was chatting with Mini Mathur. He mentioned that he scored a win over Zaid Darbar the previous night. When Mini asked what he meant, Zaid jumped in and explained that he borrowed a cigarette from Kushal because his own were ‘bekar’.
Without missing a beat, Kushal shot back, “Tujhe saari meri cheezein pasand aati hai. (You always like my things.)” Given his history with Gauahar, the line landed as anything but casual. Mini’s expression said it all, she looked taken aback. Arslan Goni quickly stepped in too, gently telling both men that this wasn’t the kind of joke that belonged on the show.
How Gauahar Khan Reacted
On her Instagram Stories, Gauahar Khan shared a note suggesting that the more secure a person feels, the less likely they are to take offence at every little thing. She wrote that not every careless comment deserves a knee-jerk response
The note read, “The more secure you are, the less you take offence,” while she added in the caption, “Not every ignorant thing needs a knee-jerk reaction. The wise know to do better. Proud of you @zaid_darbar.” Gauahar also posted a clip of Zaid’s performance on the show, calling it a ‘killer performance’ delivered with zero insecurities.
Online, opinions remain split. Some felt Zaid should have said something in the moment, while others directed their frustration squarely at Kushal for even bringing it up. Arslan, on the other hand, earned praise for stepping in.
For context, Gauahar and Kushal’s relationship goes back to Bigg Boss 7 in 2013, though the two parted ways in 2014. She later found love with Zaid, marrying him in December 2020. The couple now shares two sons, born in 2023 and 2025.
